Aug 04, 2008 (LBO) – A Sri Lankan firm has started selling books by local authors on the internet with soft copies available for download, the company, Z-World said in a statement. The company said copies of books were available in pdf, a popular document compression format developed by the software firm Adobe.

Z-World said books by the Sri Lankan author Carl Muller were already available in its ‘Z-Library’ and the first chapter could be downloaded free.
In addition to works of local authors, locally published magazines would also be put on the store, the company said.
Z-World is a web-based marketing firm.
